Tap to pay on subway: OMNY automatically caps your weekly fare after 12 rides

You no longer need yellow MetroCards. Just tap the same credit card or smart device at any subway turnstile. Starting every Monday, once you complete 12 paid rides within 7 days, all subsequent subway and local bus rides are completely free for the rest of the week.
