Grand Palace scam: ignore tuk-tuk drivers claiming "palace closed for ceremony"
Friendly men in polo shirts hanging outside the Grand Palace gates will tell you the palace is closed for lunch or a royal ceremony, offering to take you on a cheap tuk-tuk tour to "special export gem shops". The palace is open 365 days a year; walk straight past them.
